100+ indoor activities during lockdown.
The Scouts normally encourage their Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to spend their time on activities outdoors but in the current circumstances they have compiled a list of activities to complete indoors. BBC Newsround has a short video giving an insight in to the sort of activity you can do with your child https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/52227592 . The list of great activities use materials and resources found in most houses and can be found at https://www.scouts.org.uk/the-great-indoors/ .The activities give an indication of the time they take, which ages they are aimed at and the materials needed. We think the Teeny Tiny Twig Rafts looks a great one and can involve collecting twigs on your daily exercise or in the garden.
You may want to take photos of your child completing the activities as evidence towards a badge. If your child isn’t a member of the Scouts yet, it is a great thing to be involved in and you may want to take photos so that when they join they have the evidence for badges.
