1066
Violet class went back in time to 1066 yesterday. David and John from the Lancashire Museums Service talked us through the year 1066 as we took on the roles of Viking, Saxon and French armies and their sovereigns. We explored weaponry from the era; tried our hand at swordsmanship; worked together to handle spears and create a shield wall; and even got to sample archery. We finished off our fantastic morning with a physical history timeline. The specialist teachers were very impressed with us and commented on how polite and well behaved we were. Want to find out more about 1066? Come to our class assembly on Friday 9th February at 2:30pm.
