8th March Back to School
We are all very excited about the Prime Minister’s announcement that school is due to reopen to all children from the 8th March. In his announcement about the government’s roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions in England he made this very clear and school has started updating its risk assessment in preparation of this.
Many children will be excited whilst some may be nervous about another change. Over the next two weeks we will be sharing more information to assist mums, dads and carers in answering questions and preparing children for coming back to school. To assist with this, we will be following very similar systems to those successfully used over the Autumn Term. These will include staggered drop offs and collections, children kept in class bubbles for lessons, play and lunch, consistent staff with these bubbles and increased social distancing and hand washing and hygiene measures. We will also continue to follow government advice on self-isolation, staff and children testing when displaying symptoms and closing bubbles if needed and since all children were in school we have introduced twice weekly asymptomatic testing for staff too.
