Amazon Detectives

Acting as geography detectives, Indigo Class have explored aerial photographs of the Amazon Basin to discover evidence of deforestation. They have then built their arguments around the consequences of deforestation in the Amazon through some very lively discussion! The scale of deforestation continues to grow around the World despite scientists understanding the impact. It is a huge issue and will continue to grow unless something is done soon and it is important that our young children are educated and encouraged to hold views about global as well as local issues.
