Ancient Greek Assembly

Indigo Class entertained us with a wonderful assembly including acting, singing, knowledge sharing and an insight in to their learning about Ancient Greece. The children have been working with artists organised through the TIME project (http://www.hmdt.org.uk/hmdtmusic/time/) and this assembly was culmination of that input. The project both aims to develop quality teaching of art, music and drama and to use these mediums to learn other subjects – in this case history. Today’s assembly saw drama around the Battle of Marathon, complete with slow motions and freeze frames, and culminated in a nine verse song written entirely by the children!
