Beach Clean
Members of our School Council have been meeting with other children from local schools under the Pupil Parliament initiative. They have been discussing the use of plastic and its damage to both our local and the global environment. As well as creating ‘eco bricks’ (bottles stuffed full of single use plastic which can be reused to make things) they have taken part in a local beach clean in Heysham. The children enjoyed this experience and were amazed at how much litter they found in a small area. Remember, we can all make small choices such as recycling, disposing of rubbish correctly and buying products without plastic packaging which will have an impact on the environment.
