Buddhist Temple

Indigo Class enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Manjushri Kadampa Buddhist Temple in Ulverston to learn and understand more about the ideas and beliefs of others. We were given a guided tour by a Buddhist monk, who also led a meditation session for our group. We even had time to walk through the woods and visit the stunning pebble beach all within the temple grounds. As part of our RE curriculum, the children learn about the world’s main religions and their learning involves visiting a place of worship. This helps children to understand similarities and differences between people in our multi-national locality as well as around the world.
