Democracy in Action

This week has seen the election of our new school councilors who have made speeches to their classmates, been elected and received their official ‘School Council’ badges which they are now all wearing with pride. The School Council is made up of two children from Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and they listen to all children and pass on ideas and concerns via weekly meetings. At these meetings, with either Mr MacKinnon or Mr Baxter (School Governor), the children help make decisions to improve the school.
