Gruffalo Wood

Orange Class have been exploring the ‘Gruffalo Wood’ to generate vocabulary and ideas for their writing. They found objects, wrote labels, added adjectives and collated all their ideas on group sheets. This approach to learning not only engages all children but helps them practise and learn new words which they then want to use in their writing. Such a creative approach to learning is a good example of how we ‘teach to the heart’.
