Haffner Orchestra

On Tuesday 7th March years 5 and 6 went to a concert by the Haffner Orchestra. We went to the town hall to listen to some great classical music. The conductor showed us how the instruments work using his own homemade versions. He compared them to the real instruments and told us about the different families of the orchestra. After a while they played ‘A young person’s guide to the orchestra’ by Benjamin Britten which was calm and relaxing. We enjoyed the music because there were many different instruments which worked together to make one complete piece of music.

‘I enjoyed it because it was very different to what I usually listen to and was fantastic.’ Josie.

‘I really enjoyed the music because I loved seeing the instruments being played in front of me. I did not know it could be that loud!’ Megan.
