High Sheriff
Yellow and Blue Class were invited as representatives of a local school to The Priory to watch a special service – The Shield Hanging of the High Sheriff of Lancashire. At the service, not only did the children get a brilliant view from the gallery and experience the full experience of organ playing (being situated next to the pipes) but they got to observe local politicians, members of the clergy and members of the judicial system in their full regalia. The history of many of these roles goes back to the time of the Norman conquest! The children were brilliantly behaved and we were proud to receive messages from The Priory about what great role models they were.
