Ingleborough Caves
Green Class had a fantastic time at Ingleborough Caves – there was a lovely walk past the waterfalls and lake at Clapham (‘this is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen’ said one child) and eventually, with some tired legs, they arrived! The cave was full of wonders that the children were able to explore and find out about and this linked with our Geography learning. They found out how flow stones, stalactites and stalagmites are formed and how the cave was once an underground lake. We had a healthy packed lunch by a picturesque stream and then it was time for home. A great day was had by all and the guide commented on what a well behaved and inquisitive group of children we were!
