Messy Maps

Year 1 have been developing their map skills through creating Messy maps of Lancaster. The children were learning to identify and create different features in Lancaster.  This will lead onto them creating their own maps and using different symbols to represent the features and a simple key. Over their time at school, their map skills will develop and some of of older children will soon be in the Lake District orienteering through woods and using maps as they head up mountains!
