Morecambe Beach

Year 2 braved the British weather to spend a day at Morecambe Beach. This trip was part of their ‘Buckets and Spades’ topic and involved visiting a geographically significant location (the beach) and both enjoying the attractions there as well as looking at the geography of the area. The children spent some time at soft play due to the weather and then the rest of the day on the front. They built sandcastles, investigated different structures for efficient castles, posed with Eric and then enjoyed an ice cream along the promenade.
