Thank you to our colleagues at Network Rail for sharing a safety video with the children of Key Stage 2 about the dangers surrounding railtracks and railway crossings.  The children have responded to the age appropriate resource well. At Willow Lane, we don’t just learn different subjects but how to behave, how to keep safe and how to conduct ourselves in the wider community. Railway tracks (and specifically the trains and electricty around them) can be dangerous places if not used and crossed correctly and informing children of this before they make wrong choices – in the same way we instruct children about the dangers of swimming in the River Lune –  is our approach to keeping them safe.
