Non-Newtonian fluid
As part of their Water topic, Blue Class have conducted an investigation in to the properties of a special type of liquid – a non-Newtonian fluid called ‘Goop’. Liquids such as these have very interesting properties and act differently depending on the force you put on them. If you gently apply pressure they act like a liquid whilst if you suddenly apply a lot of pressure they respond like a solid! The children loved the wonder of this investigation and learning new technical vocabulary.
