Orange Class Assembly
Thank you to the performers in Orange Class who treated us to an assembly about ‘The Great Outdoors’. This has been their topic this half term and they have taken their learning beyond the classroom including a trip to Lowther Castle as well as exploring our school grounds and having a campfire. They have been developing their geography skills through ‘messy maps’ ‘keys’ and ‘birds’ eye views’. The children delivered their lines clearly, informing us about what they enjoy about learning outside, and photos of happy, engaged children accompanied the performance. The children talked about the impact of litter on outside spaces and the Three Rs – Reduce Reuse and Recycle – and sung us a great informative song about this. Thank you Orange Class!
