Orienteering in the Park

Violet Class have taken their orienteering skills to Lancaster’s wonderful Williamson Park. These skills have been developed over their time at our school including in the school grounds in PE lessons and at Geography Day as well as further afield when at Tower Wood. It’s a popular sport among children and they were keen to take on the challenge in a new environment. Some children found the unfamiliar landscape tricky to navigate whilst others read their maps well and moved swiftly from control point to control point.
