Our great local area

Yellow Class have been out to look at the History and Geography of our local area as part of our cross curricular topic. We walked up to the castle and studied its features and then created a sketch of it including turrets, a portcullis, arrow slits and crenelations. We also looked at the features of old houses around the castle. We also saw James Williamson’s factory on the Marsh. Next we visited all the parks and leisure areas in our local area and looked at what is really good and what could be improved. We took photos of our ideas and discussed what could be done to make the area even better.
