Rainbow of Fruit
Yellow class have been designing and making our very own healthy snacks. We wanted to encourage younger children to eat more fruit and vegetables so wanted to make them fun e.g. putting the fruit and vegetables in pictures such as animals, creating vehicles and making dragon heads out of watermelons with melon teeth. Miss Frankland told us the best way to know you are eating enough vitamins is to make sure we eat a rainbow of fruit and vegetables every day so we even made an amazing rainbow! We used cutting, chopping, grating and peeling skills and used hand positions such as the ‘claw’ and the ‘bridge’ to protect our fingers. We designed and made some incredible fruit and vegetable salads! They were absolutely amazing and the children put them together brilliantly. Well done superstars!
