Reading in Key Stage 2

At Willow Lane we love reading as we know it not only helps children learn new words and about fantastic things but also takes children’s imaginations to new places. In our Key Stage 2 reading area we have a great selection of books, including classics and new reads, which children progressively work through as they become more competent readers. Within each class, we also have authors we promote including well know authors such as Michael Morpurgo  and Jacqueline Wilson as well as authors new to many children including Glenda Millard, Eoin Colfer and Michelle Paver. Do you know who your child’s favourite author is? Do they know who your favourite author was as a child?
