Royal British Legion
This year marks the centenary of the end of the First World War. As a school, we are marking this significant historical event by creating a Poppy Field which will also help to engage children with understanding Remembrance and its significance. Working with local members of the the Royal British Legion, every child has learnt about the poppy and why we wear it and every child has planted seeds on the large bank to the rear of the school. Over the next few months this will turn in to a dramatic sea of red and be a very striking installation for our children to have been part of.
