Solar Eclipse 2015 by Jack and Tia- Orange class
‘We saw the moon going over the sun and we had to wear special sunglasses so we wouldn’t get blind.’- Jack
‘It got dark when the moon was covering the sun and the birds were confused because they thought it was night-time. When the moon started coming out, the shape of it was a sphere. It made us feel happy watching it because we probably won’t see it again because if we are older at work when it happens again, they might have the curtains closed. ‘- Tia
The eclipse glasses were donated by a local charity in memory of a very special little boy who loved all things to do with space. His family are building a telescope in his memory in Williamson park and all donations are gratefully received.
