Spring Bulbs for Schools
Last Autumn, Willow Lane School worked with ‘The Edina Trust’ and took part in the National Museum of Wales ‘Spring Bulbs for Schools’ Project. The project is a long running climate change investigation. Last October, Yellow Class planted crocus and daffodil bulbs, and monitored these over the past few months taking daily weather temperatures and rainfall readings. Once the bulbs flowered, the children measured each flower and added this along with the weather statistics on to the Museum of Wales website. As well as investigating bulbs at school they also helped to plant bulbs in The Memorial Village which are now in beautiful bloom.
