V.E.T. in Orange Class

Orange Class have been looking at animals from all over the world as part of their topic. They’ve been linking it to appealing books to engage children for example when studying elephants looking at the different Elmer stories. This week their book was ‘Mog goes to the V.E.T.’ and to enhance their learning a vet, veterinary nurse, dog (called Beau) and rabbit (called Philip) came to visit. The children learnt how to care for animals and got to experience life as a vet including dressing up in scrubs, checking animals’ teeth and listening to the dog’s heart beat.
