Wheelchair Basketball

What a great sport! Our children have really enjoyed trying out this exciting paralympic sport as part of Sports Week. Shaun, from Lancaster based team The Bulldogs, taught the children how to maneuver the chairs, the rules of the game and coached and supported the children to compete. Everyone enjoyed taking part and many want to try it again. The Bulldogs run sessions at Salt Ayre and these are inclusive so that disable and able bodied people play together.
