Willow Words

Willow Words are spelling patterns which children learn in class and use in all their writing – for example not only in their English books but also Science and Topic books. When children are using their spellings well, they bring their books to Mr MacKinnon and Mrs Fish to be checked. It’s a pleasure for us to read through the books, see children’s progress over time and to award Willow Words badges (bronze, silver, gold or diamond) when children spell accurately in their independent writing.
