WOOSH (Willow Out Of School Hours) Club is our popular wrap around provision offering care for children before and after school. It’s available to all pupils attending Willow Lane School aged 4 to 11. WOOSH Club is based in a small classroom opposite Red Class, where pupils are supervised by two experienced members of staff, and takes advantage of the school’s facilities before and after school.
In the morning there are two options :
Breakfast Club – 7:45 to 8:50am costing £4 includes a healthy breakfast.
Toast Club – 8:30 to 8:50am costing £2 includes toast and Juice.
Children are occupied with games and activities before being escorted to class.
The After School Club also offers 2 options :
3:15 to 4:15pm OR after a school run activity (finishing 4:15/4:30pm) until 5:30pm costing £4
3:15 to 5:30pm costing £7
Younger children are collected from their classroom and older children make their own way to the WOOSH room, where they are registered, eat a healthy snack and take part in a range of activities. For younger children these link directly to the Early Years curriculum and ‘Learning Journeys’ are kept for you to view at any time.
It’s important that children are booked into before and after school clubs in advance, in order for food to be prepared for the correct number, although we will try to accommodate any last minute arrangements if your plans change. Bookings and payment may be made at any time up to midnight the night before using the online SchoolMoney system, or via the school office by phone or in person anytime before 3pm on the day.
WOOSH is run as a non-profit service so it is important that parents pay in advance either online, or by cash or cheque at the School Office.
To find out more, please see the WOOSH Club letter on our letters page. If you have any further questions about WOOSH, please speak to Alison Brennan (Bursar) in the School Office or Debbie Hoyle/Marzena Skarbek in the WOOSH room.
