The school gates open at 8:40am and registration is from 8:45am until 8.50am.
Children in KS2 walk round to their class by themselves. Children in KS1/ EYFS enter school independently through the KS1 entrance.
All children are greeted at the class door by their teacher or a member of their class teaching staff.
Members of the Senior Leadership Team are present at the start of the day to relay messages to teachers or to support children coming into school.
Any messages for teachers can also be written in the child’s communication book for that day.
The school gates close at 8.50am. After this time, children will need to be taken to the school office to enter school. Late arrivals miss important learning time and disturb the class so please make sure all children are in and ready to learn on time.
We hold a whole school celebration assembly each Friday at 2.30pm. We also meet in class, key stage and whole school assemblies throughout the week to sing, share our learning and our values.
At the end of the school day, the school gates opens at 3.10pm. Please walk around to your child’s class door to collect your child from the class teacher. The end of the school day is 3:15pm. Children will be sent out, at this time, as the teacher or teaching assistant see their parent. We ask that you give the class teacher space to do this. Please collect younger siblings first. Year 5 and 6 are allowed to walk home on their own as log as permission has been given to the school office. They will be sent out when the bell goes and the children being collected will be sent out by their teacher as parents arrive. If you are unsure where to go, please visit the school office or ask any member of staff.
If you arrange for someone else to collect your child or would like your child to walk home alone, please inform the office in advance.
The total hours provided by the school in a typical week is 32.5 hours.
