School Day

The school gates open at 8:40am and registration is from 8:45am until 8.50am.

Children in KS2 walk round to their class by themselves. Children in KS1/ EYFS enter school independently through the KS1 entrance.

All children are greeted at the class door by their teacher or a member of their class teaching staff.

Members of the Senior Leadership Team are present at the start of the day to relay messages to teachers or to support children coming into school.

Any messages for teachers can also be written in the child’s communication book for that day.

The school gates close at 8.50am.  After this time, children will need to be taken to the school office to enter school. Late arrivals miss important learning time and disturb the class so please make sure all children are in and ready to learn on time.

At the end of the school day, the school gates opens at 3.10pm. Please wait on the main playground until the bell goes at 3.15pm. Then walk around to your child’s class door to collect your child from the class teacher. Please collect younger siblings first. If you are unsure where to go, please visit the school office or ask any member of staff.

If you arrange for someone else to collect your child or would like your child to walk home alone,  please inform the office in advance. Children in Key Stage 2 who have permission to walk home alone will leave the classroom at 3.15pm.

The total hours provided by the school in a typical week is 32.5 hours.
